Course Description

            From birth to High School Graduation, oral health care providers in private practice have a unique prevention based relationship with their patients.  By teaching caregivers and eventually becoming the first oral care provider to an infant or small child we build a relationships that will allow a child to grow up virtually free of dental decay.  Follow along as we travel through the first milestones of life and touch on different ways to incorporate preventive strategies and modalities for all of life’s curves and events.  This half day course is packed with information most hygienists wonder about, or wished they knew more about.

Course Goals

            The goals of this course are to ignite dental hygienists imagination and extinguish boredom.  They include educating dental hygienists about the treasures in the oral health care aisles at the store, as well as new science to help our patients keep their teeth a life time.  Conception to College ~ The Ultimate Prevention Plan includes mothers (care givers) infants, children, teens, chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cancer treatments, piercing, properly fitted mouth guards, soda pop, chewing gum and more.
